Delight Tuna Pancit Canton

Updated: Sep 14, 2020

I have to make a post on my version of Pansit Canton with Spicy Mega Tuna. This Pinoy instant noodle has been around and has for the longest time before that Pansit Canton with Tuna ad. There are countless versions out there, each version depends on what ingredients available at the time of cooking. The version starts with the simple topping of canned tuna to a full Pinoy pansit recipe, complete with the usual Pinoy pansit aromatic and vegetable ingredients. This go-to snack isn’t only easy to prepare, but it’s also a no-fail staple to satisfy both our cravings and hunger. Since it appears that we’re going to be at home for a little longer, now is the best time to give your regular instant pancit canton and upgrade.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 can - 125 grams Mega Tuna Budget Size Hot & Spicy

  • 2 cups of water

  • 1 packet 80grams/Big Lucky Me! Instant Pansit Canton, calamansi flavor (Extra Big Size)

  • 1 small carrot, cut to strips

  • 2 cups sliced cabbage

  • 1 small sized onion. peeled, chopped

  • 2-3 cloves garlic, crushed, peeled, chopped finely

  • chopped, spring onion, optional

  • salt

  • cooking oil

INSTRUCTIONS:

In a large wok or pan, add 2 cups water and bring to a boil. Add noodles and cook for 90 seconds, loosening strands with a fork. Add the seasoning packets of pancit canton, keep aside. Using the wok, sauté the garlic and onions until fragrant, add in the mixed vegetables a stir cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add in the boiled noodles, the oil from the canned tuna, and the seasoning and condiments that came with the Instant Pansit Canton. Continue to stir cook for about 1 to 2 minutes, correct saltines if required. Continue to stir cook for another 1 minute. Toss well and cook for another second. Remove from heat and serve.

Serves 2 to 3 person.

Try it for yourself. Enjoy!
